What is the PE and Sports Grant?

The Primary PE and Sport Premium is Government funding to help primary schools achieve self-sustaining improvements to their physical education, physical activity and sport provision.

This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to schools to be spent on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

All state-maintained schools, academies, middle schools, special schools and pupil referral units which have primary aged pupils (as reported in the 2013 school census) will receive the funding.

At Wallace Fields Infant School & Nursery , we believe P.E. & Sport plays an important role in making our vision statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.

We are committed to using this resource in developing high quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all our young people.
